San Nicola

Due to the earthquake of 1905, the building was damaged and now has only the nave and the vault has been replaced by a decorated ceiling.

The interior is enriched by a Via Crucis from 1779, by Tropean design, and two large canvases: one depicting “Saint Nicola in glory” (probably from 1765) by Salvatore Grimaldi,

nephew of Giuseppe Grimaldi, and the other “The Deposition from the Cross”, 16th century. XVIII, of the Tropean design.

In the sacristy,

a Sacred Heart of Jesus by the Bagnati brothers (1848). The Altar was curated by the architect Emanuele Miano.
