The street nearly the river “Vrace” arrives directly at the bottom of the valley, where there is a small church that bears the name of the Virgin and Martyr Saint Sunday that, according to an ancient tradition, seems to have been born in this district.

The church was rebuilt in 1962 next to the place where until 1600 there were the ruins of the church and the Cenobio.

In the sea there is a vast prairie of Posidonia, while going up the course of the river you can admire the large walls rich in fossils, especially clypeaster. A collection is exhibited at the paleontological and archaeological museum in nearby Santa Domenica.

The Posidonia oceanic, an aquatic plant, endemic to the Maritime Mediterranean, forms a vast prairie already a few meters from the beach.
